Water is used to keep your Innards alive, when the Innards run out of their remaining reserve of water Water Death occurs.
Water is required, in varying amounts, to enter certain spawn points. The requirements for these entry points will vary day-by-day.
If you turn in a quest that awards you with water, it is automatically added to your reserves. If your reserves are already full, the excess water will be converted to exp, with one barrel of water being worth 1,250XP. If character experience is full, each barrel rewards 25,000 credits.
Looted water will be automatically transferred to the water tank reserves upon returning to the Innards.

Any map. Very limited spawn points with some almost guaranteed to spawn.
Can be easily located with a TacCam due to its unique shape.

[*] water is not only used in base consumption but is also used by the factions as exchange good for scavenger services.
[*] When on the search for water its often found near medical crates or in facilities and inside small bunkers
