Dialogue

When accepting the quest:

Those pesky Europan Drones - a nuisance in and of themselves.

But what's even more infuriating is how quickly they alert the rest of Europa's forces when one of our unites gets taken out.

We need to neutralize this threat before it becomes and overwhelming problem for us.

Get me three components from downed Europan Drones.
Kane

When turning in the quest:

Those drones were a thorn in our side, and now that I got their tech...

We can finally develop countermeasures against Europa's constant flood of reinforcements.

Their network is primitive compared to ours, but different. Worth studying...

...Europa is not to be underestimated.

Maps with Europan Drone spawns:

NOT Recommended:

  1. Kill or wait for someone else to kill an Europan Drone (the cylinder, NOT the insect looking one).
  2. Loot the Europan Drone Debris of its wreckage. It is considered a rare item and is therefore not guaranteed to drop.
  3. Repeat until you have 3 Europan Drone Debris.
  4. Successfully extract.

Locating and combat

A Tactical Camera can be extremely useful for locating and identifying drones before engaging them and locating their remains, denoted in-game as "Europan Drone Debris".

  • Locating and looting their remains quickly is important as they are notorious for despawning very fast.

With 2,500 HP they are relatively tanky and, due to their mechanic nature, can not be staggered and have no crit zones. Make sure to either have ample overhead cover or to spray them down quickly before they can return fire, as you can not interrupt their bursts.

  • Using a silencer is recommended when planning on actively destroying them.
  • To gain the biggest advantage, it is recommended to select drones that are either already engaged in combat or damaged.
  • Drones detonate on death, this will usually draw in nearby hostiles.
  • They usually spawn in pairs, but are not aggro-tethered like infantry squads.
