Radar Walker

Description

The Radar Walker is a factionless radar unit that collects data on all three factions' positions on a map. Walkers are deployed in sets of three and distributed across the map. Decrypting their transmissions provides the player with the approximate factional control on the map by percentage where the Walkers were decrypted and can provide valuable intel for planning a raid. Information about them can be obtained from Wahlkreise in the Innards.

Location

All maps both during the day and on Night Shift. Walkers' locations are fixed on the maps.

Strategy

Walkers must be decrypted in a certain order, which changes every raid. It is strongly advised to avoid standing underneath a Walker when it crouches as it can quickly crush the player to death in a matter of seconds. Decrypting the Walkers involves solving a truncated version of the minigame that is used to unlock sealed doors and access the terminal in Data Heist. Successfully decrypting all three Walkers on a map provides the player with intel on factional control for 6 hours; decrypting the Walkers on the same map in a subsequent raid results in the counter being reset back to 6 hours.

Even though they spawn in the same positions, Walkers can easily be spotted on a TacCam and are distinguishable by their tall and slender frame. Pinging them will return a yellow "Radar."

Trivia

It is currently unknown who created or deployed the Walkers, and they are not currently associated with any known faction; factions are not aggressive toward Walkers and will generally ignore them.
