Pyro is a presumed Europan legend responsible for significant Eurasian casualties. Despite intense research, Eurasia has failed to gather any information on his past life. All of his personal records and prior history have been erased, though Eurasia assumes he has a military background.
Pyro is a very large infantry unit, roughly the size of a regular Europan EOD. He wields a Grenade Launcher and wears an astronaut suit retrofitted for combat with a tattered American flag to cover his scarred face.

Scorched Enclave (condition: Pyro Revealed) - will typically make his way to the center of the bunker complex, though he will not move if he is out of combat.
Strategy
Pyro is typically easy to spot as he operates alone and has a fairly unique silhouette when viewed through the Tactical Camera. Despite operating alone, however, he is extremely dangerous, able to land precise shots with his grenades. Engaging him at range is advised, and you can usually wait for the fighting to die down before taking him on. He has a very large health pool and will likely win multiple engagements, allowing you to let Euruskan and Eurasian units soften him up for you.
Pyro was the first confirmed boss unit in the game.
Fun Dog Studios teased his grab-kill as part of their July 4th Burst Transmission, showing that his suit gives him the strength to tear people apart. This is not yet implemented in game.
Pyro's lore and scars hint that he prefers incendiary weapons; however, these are not yet implemented in the game. His current weapon is a placeholder.
Interestingly, the Latin inscription and symbol on Pyro's lower left leg--Scutum Mortis ("Shield of Death")--is the same inscription written on the side of the top of the injection well in Frozen Swamp.
The metallic carving on the side of Pyro's fuel tank appears to depict Prometheus, the famed Titan of Greek mythology. Prometheus was responsible for stealing fire from the Olympians and gifting it to humanity; as punishment, Prometheus was sentenced to having his liver eaten by an eagle, the emblem of Zeus (which is also depicted in the carving), for eternity.
