Strategy
EOD units should be avoided if possible, as they deal a huge amount of damage and can soak up an equally massive amount on their own. Scavs are typically better off evading them, or trying to bait Eurasian and Euruskan troops into engaging the EODs for them. EODs will win almost any infantry fight, but they can at least be softened up.
If conflict is inevitable, rifles and heavy rifles with over 200 damage are preferable, as they can reliably stagger EODs with a burst. Longer range weapons are best, as this also prevents the trio from bursting you down with full auto fire. Grenade launchers can also work, killing with a single direct hit.
EOD HunterKillers are similar to the regular EOD, however they can deploy solo or scattered across an area, meaning it is more likely you can be surrounded by them. They are very slow to catch up, so if they spawn behind you, you can often run away without ever seeing them.
Trivia
In a military setting, EOD typically stands for Explosive Ordnance Disposal. This refers to the specialized units responsible for the detection, disarming, and disposal of unexploded bombs, mines, and other hazardous munitions. EOD teams are trained to handle and neutralize dangerous explosives in both combat and non-combat environments.
