Credits
Description
Although from different countries and societies, all NPC vendors trade in credits (
), a common name for currency in futuristic settings.
Nothing is known about the history of credits, whether if they were in use pre-war, how they may have managed to survive the war, or how they might have been established thereafter.
At the start of the game, the player is given 25,000 cr.
Acquisition
Looting
Consult Items#List_of_all_lootable_items for a list of all items with value per volume. IFFs have the highest value per volume among small items, and Codexes are the most expensive items by a wide margin.
- The Rack Rig can fit about 90k worth of large items. Picking up as many large items as you can find on Scorched Enclave can be profitable for how little time and effort it takes per raid.
- Hunting for Codexes remains by far the most efficient money farming strategy. If the rack rig can hold at most 90k worth of large items (excluding gachas), a single codex provides over six times the value, and mechs often spawn in pairs. Ashen Mesa, Scorched Enclave and Elephant Mausoleum have the most mech spawn points.
- Contents of a single Sealed gacha box can sell for over 40k credits, making it the most valuable item you can put in a large slot. A Eurasian Supply Crate is worth even more if you include the value of water provided for turning in the related quest.
- Among destroyed weapons, HMG, grenade launchers and automatic shotguns have the highest sell values.
Quests
Consult Quests#Quest_Lists for a list of all quests with sum of all rewards' sell values. Hunt the Hunters, Memento Pt 2 and Target Locked are highly rewarding quests that can be done in starting locations. Lordoss questline provides over 1.5 million credits, but is not repeatable.
- Most quest rewards are higher than the value of quest items. For example, Hunt the Hunters requires two HK fragments, sellable for a total of 17k, and awards an XM25, sellable for 65k.
- Water is automatically sold for 25k when you're at max water and character XP.
Other tips & tricks
- Construction Drones sell for much more than the sum of their parts (65k vs 11k). The same is not true for railgun parts.
